We are presently accepting swag items for the following events:
- Kids-Fest February 17/18 (100 bags distributed at the Made by Hand booth)
- Spring Made by Hand Show, April 20, 2013 (100 swag bags distributed to the first 100 families)
What's in the Swag Bags?
Samples, free gifts, promotional items (pens, magnets), coupons and promotional discounts, candies and more. Avoid paper items, make it something tangible.
What to contribute to a Swag Bag?
Swag bags are a way to promote your business and a unique way to get customers to visit your shop, website or store following the event.
Here are some great tips for swag items:
- Samples: samples are a great way for customers to try your products before they buy. One of my favorite swag items was a jam vendor who had included small jam samples in our swag bags
- Freebies: free gifts are always popular. At our spring show, one vendor had a small pair of earrings included in the swag bags
- Free Item Coupons: Offer something free to encourage traffic to your store. For example, in a swag bag I got a coupon for a handmade card. I ended up purchasing several items when I picked up the freebie.
- Promotional Items: Pens and magnets are great promotional items that have your website or logo branded on the item
Inexpensive Swag Ideas:
- attach your business card to a magnet
- attach a candy or small treat with your business card/postcard
Other Great Ideas:
- a jewellery vendor included a free set of earrings
- a jewellery vendor had a candy necklace with a note "Do you want to upgrade?"
- a body vendor included samples of soap
- a candle vendor included candle samples
- a paper vendor included small gift tags
- a wood vendor included wood ornaments
- a hair accessory vendor included hair clip samples
- a food vendor included samples
- a fabric vendor included iron on patches
